Steve Serazio
Raised in LA county, Steve grew up drawing the images on skateboards and the covers on punk rock albums, foreshadowing his future endeavors. Influenced heavily by his older brother, Steve started tattooing professionally in 1998. He apprenticed under Karen Mitchell at Santa Clarita Tattoo. That opportunity paved the way for the chance to work for one of tattooing’s heroes at the mecca that is Bob Robert’s World Famous Spotlight Tattoo. It was here that Steve LIVED tattooing. The stories and characters that have passed through the doors of Spotlight are those of legend. Steve was there for lots of it. Outside of MotoCross and classic LA punk music, there is nothing that Steve Serazio loves or consumes more than tattooing. Besides Bob Roberts, Steve cites his influence from his father, Chuck, Ed Hardy, Mark Mahoney, Mike Wilson and Jack Rudy.
Steve’s teachers as a kid always told him to stop drawing, but Steve is grateful he never did and that he gets to see people enjoy their tattoos. Steve is a special soul in tattooing, a master of his craft and loves that serving the people leads to great conversations with interesting humans. He’s an amazing addition to The Aloha Monkey, and you’d be lucky to get a tattoo from him because he truly cares about every single one.
Steve takes walk-ins and appointments every Wednesday-Sunday.
