Brian Basabe
Brian Basabe was spawned in the barren desert of southwest Idaho. As a child, Brian spent long days communing with the snakes, lizards, and coyotes of the desolate Snake River Valley. Raised between a feedlot and an Air Force bombing range, he devoted much of his childhood free time to carving messages into the ground with a stick in hopes that God would read them. As a teenager, Brian held a day job of branding cattle with hot irons, although he did not care for the smell. Little did he know these experiences would one day manifest themselves in the form of tattooing.
Since 2006, Brian has been tattooing in various shops around Boise, ID and Ogden, UT. With no particular style other than the straightforward execution of his client's dreams, his persistence toward his craft has brought him to the Aloha Monkey via invitation by Josh Arment. He can be found at the shop Wednesday through Sunday, interpreting dreams and engraving hides with messages whether God sees them or not.
